An rabaid agam My Rabbit

An rabaid agam My Rabbit

'S e George an rabaid agam:
tha e uabhasach brèagha.
Thuirt Dadaidh rium gu robh e donn
ach e glas no liath.

Bidh mi toirt George gu taigh mo Ghranaidh:
nach bi sin math, nach bi sin math!
Ach na seasaibh air, a Ghranaidh,
no bidh e marbh,
agus bidh mise caoineadh!

Mo pheata, O mo pheata —
am peata as fheàrr san t-saoghal.
Tha fàileadh air George
mar bhiadh blasta,
's tha dath air mar a' cheò.

'S e George an rabaid agam:
tha e uabhasach sàmhach.
Cha chluinn thu càil ach
plop! plop! plop!
's e ruith mu chuairt an àite

George is my rabbit:
he's extremely beautiful.
Daddy told me was brown
but he's really silvery grey.

I'll take George to Granny's house:
won't that be good, won't that be good!
But don't stand on him, Granny,
or he'll be dead,
and I'll be crying!

My pet, oh my pet —
the best pet in the world.
George smells
like tasty food,
and is the colour of mist.

George is my rabbit:
he's extremely quiet.
You hear nothing but
plop! plop! plop!
when he runs around the place
